Stretch Break

The Stretch Break is a 2-minute timer that can be set up to twice a day, reminding you to stand up and move. Use the time to stretch your neck, arms, legs, and shoulders, whether standing or seated.

Timer states

  • Idle — Displays the start time of your next break.
  • Time to start — The border and play button flash. Press play to start the timer and begin your break.
  • Running — The countdown displays while your break is in progress.
  • Complete — Press the green checkmark to receive credit for your break. Your next break's start time will then appear.

Daily progress

  • 100% complete — You finished both of your daily Stretch breaks.
  • 50% complete — You finished 1 out of 2.
  • 0% complete — You missed both.

Why it matters

Sitting for long stretches at your desk can lead to stiffness and soreness in your neck, back, and legs. Regular stretch breaks help prevent that discomfort and lower the risk of longer-term issues tied to prolonged sitting, while also easing stress and fatigue and giving your focus a boost.

Stretching regularly can also help prevent repetitive strain injuries like carpal tunnel or tennis elbow, common among anyone doing a lot of typing or mouse work. It improves circulation, reduces muscle tension, and supports better posture, all of which add up to fewer aches and more energy throughout your day.
